A Welsh wedding venue has cancelled weddings as it reveals plans to redevelop into a five-star tourism destination. The Oldwalls Collection said it will transform its founding venue Oldwalls Gower into a "luxury staycation destination" in 2026. They say plans will provide additional accommodation options for wedding guests attending events at Fairyhill and other venues throughout the Gower.

In a statement published on the Oldwalls Collection website on Tuesday, the company said it will be "business as usual" before the plans get underway. This transformation will allow us, as part of The Oldwalls Collection, to pour our expertise and investment into our flagship wedding venues, Fairyhill and Sant Ffraed House, while Oldwalls Gower evolves to serve a new audience.
