FARGO — The highly anticipated 2024 North Dakota State football season kicks off in just over a week and WDAY-TV is getting you ready for the upcoming year. Over the next two Sunday nights, WDAY will present two half-hour specials to look at the 2024 Bison and preview the big storylines surrounding the team. They will also focus on the season opening game against Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes.

In Part One, WDAY's Dom Izzo sits down with new head coach Tim Polasek to discuss the challenges that await him in his first year as head coach of the team. Polasek describes what positions he's keeping an eye on through fall camp, and the luxury of having a four year starter back at quarterback in Cam Miller. WDAY's Sam Goetzinger has a pair of feature stories focusing on two major question marks heading into the 2024 season.

One story focuses on returning All-American safety Cole Wisniewski and his decision to return to NDSU for his fifth season of eligibility. Questions surround Wisniewski's status as the Bison near the end of fall camp, as he has yet to practice recovering from offseason foot surgery. Goetzinger also features the Bison running backs, which are also dealing with a significant injury during camp as junior Barika Kpeenu went down with an MCL injury during the first week of fall camp.

His status for the Colorado game is up in the air, which has put more pressure on returner TK Marshall and newcomer Marty Brown. ADVERTISEMENT The F.
