A tribute to the industrial metal pioneers in Chicago Metallica ‘s Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo have covered Ministry ‘s ‘Just One Fix’ while performing in Chicago – watch footage of the performance below. While performing Chicago on Sunday (August 11), Hammett and Trujillo – who regularly perform non-Metallica jams during their shows – chose to honour hometown industrial metal pioneers Ministry. Trujillo explained, addressing the Chicago crowd: “Kirk and I like to jam and we like to celebrate new ideas, straight from the dressing room here sometimes.

And sometimes we like to celebrate bands or artists from the city.” The bassist continued: “And tonight we’ve got a band that’s very special, an artist that we consider groundbreaking and who’s a huge influence to us. If any of you are into the band Ministry, let’s get it together.

And if you know the words, sing with me because I’m gonna need your help. All right? This is our rendition of ‘Just One Fix.’” Watch fan-shot footage of Hammett and Trujillo covering Ministry’s ‘Just One Fix’ below.

Following the show, Ministry took to Facebook to acknowledge the cover , thanking the band for the honour. Late last month, Metallica announced the launch of a new Cliff Burton exhibition via their digital museum . Titled Orion: A Tribute To Cliff Burton , the digital exhibit is one of four collections scheduled to honour the metal icons’ late bassist, who died in 1986.
