Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho had his first training session at Sevilla on thursday since he completed his transfer to the club, Soccernet.ng reports. Iheanacho called time on his time at Leicester after a six-year stay at the club.

But he completed his transfer to Spanish La Liga club Sevilla last week, penning a two-year deal with the Seville club. However, the 27-year-old forward has been absent from training since he joined. Sevilla also played a friendly game against Fulham four days ago, but Iheanacho was absent from the team.

Iheanacho’s absence raised eyebrows, but on thursday, everything was laid to rest. This was after Sevilla shared a video of the Super Eagles star in his first training session at the club. He went through drills with the other players and also scored a beautiful curler.

He also seems to be building a good relationship with compatriot Chidera Ejuke as both players were seen discussing on the training pitch. Sevilla still have one more pre-season friendly lined up against Liverpool on sunday. And since Iheanacho has resumed training, he will likely play the game.

Los Hispalenses will play their first game of the La Liga season against newly-promoted Las Palmas on August 16..
