As filming for the upcoming continues, it would appear that all is not quite as it may seem in the Big Apple, as our favourite set of Manhattanites have been photographed filming what appears to be a funeral scene. Among the characters that are being floated as the recipient of a potential killing off are ' (Cynthia Nixon) ex, Che Diaz, who, it was confirmed earlier this year, would not be returning for the third outing of the series, and (Kim Cattrall). While the funeral scenes have yet to be defined as such, the photographs from the set of the upcoming season appear to show the series' protagonists all dressed in black, with (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) among them.

It was recently rumoured that Cattrall would reprise her role in the upcoming third season of the sequel, but the actor shot down speculation this week on X, formerly known as Twitter. Responding to a fan, Cattrall , 'Aw that’s so kind but I’m not,' and added a kiss emoji. The denial of her return follows her brief cameo in the second season finale, a role she assumed to honour fans of the original series.
