According to , , Lewis Hamilton, , Pharrell Williams and honorary chair will help the fashion maven co-chair the big event. What makes these men such a fascinating choice is that not only do they all have distinct styles, they’re known for not conforming to gender norms.

Inspired by Monica L. Miller’s book, “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity,” the Costume Institute’s spring 2025 Metropolitan Museum of Art exhibit, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” will “feature garments, paintings, photographs, and more—all exploring the indelible style of Black men in the context of dandyism, from the 18th-century through present day.“ Though an official dress code won’t be announced until early 2025, we expect this exhibit to lead to a red carpet overflowing with Black Excellence.
