In a groundbreaking move, the airline has partnered with Joby Aviation, a leading California-based company specializing in electric air taxis.
Together, they aim to introduce Joby’s cutting-edge air taxi service to the UK, revolutionizing urban transportation. The electric air taxi is built to accommodate a pilot and up to four passengers, reaching speeds of up to 200 mph. When operational, it promises to dramatically shorten travel times across the UK, with potential routes including a 15-minute flight from Manchester Airport to Leeds or an 8-minute ride from Heathrow to Canary Wharf, compared to the usual 80-minute car journey.
