Fed up of your favourite perfume or aftershave running out too soon? Fear not, as a lifestyle expert revealed a simple trick on TikTok that could save you cash and extend the life of your scents. Dasha (@daria.shark) suggests that Vaseline could be the solution you're looking for.
"This hack will save you a lot of money ," she declared, before demonstrating her method in a video. Dasha started by melting two containers of the famous petroleum jelly in boiling water for two minutes. Afterwards, she took the melted Vaseline out of the water and let it cool in an empty bowl.
"Add your perfume and mix well," Dasha instructed, then proceeded to do the same with her husband's cologne. To differentiate between the two scents, Dasha cleverly marked the lids of the Vaseline tubs with different coloured nail polish, then chilled them in the fridge for three hours. She concluded by suggesting a patch test on the hand to ensure success.
