Tourists from as far afield as Japan are flocking to one of England's most picturesque villages, just over the Gloucestershire border in Wiltshire, often described as 'quintessentially English'. Nestled in the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Castle Combe has earned the title of 'prettiest village in England'. It's not only famous for its race circuit but also as a filming location for movies such as War Horse and Stardust, and even an episode of Downton Abbey.

The village boasts traditional and historic architecture crafted from Cotswold stone, with no new homes having been constructed here for centuries. As an idyllic retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering tranquil country walks and a step back in time, it's no surprise that it draws in numerous visitors. It has key village staples like a 13th century church and a 14th century manor-turned-hotel, but it's one unique quirky B&B that is bringing in visitors from Japan, .

Fosse Farmhouse and its owner of more than 30 years, Caron Cooper, 60, were featured in the Kinmoza anime series and have become so famous that she has even attended a red-carpet premiere in Japan and hosted the Japanese , . The story goes that Caron met a Japanese couple, Shozo and Yasuko Mitani, at a market stall in 1989. The couple told Caron that they were planning to open a British-themed B&B in Japan and so Caron invited them to visit her farmhouse.

They loved their stay there so much that they even modelled their own B&B.
