Monday, September 16, 2024 The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) recently organized a Vietnam Tourism Roadshow in Auckland, New Zealand, as part of a larger promotional campaign across Australia and New Zealand in 2024. The event, hosted at the JW Marriott Auckland Hotel, brought together representatives from VNAT, artists from the Vietnam National Music, Dance, and Singing Theater, local tourism management agencies, investors, and tourism businesses. Delegates and partners from New Zealand also attended, showcasing the growing interest in tourism between the two nations.

During the event, speakers emphasized the approaching 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and New Zealand in 2025. The strategic partnership formed in 2020 has paved the way for deeper collaboration, including in the tourism sector, offering new opportunities for businesses and travelers alike. New Zealand, with its world-renowned natural beauty and dynamic city of Auckland, was highlighted as a top tourist destination.

Auckland, a vibrant hub known for its stunning harbor, volcanic islands, and diverse cultural scene, stands as a key attraction for global visitors. Often called the “city of sails,” it boasts a mix of modern European architecture alongside the wild beauty of forests, beaches, and volcanic landscapes. In turn, Vietnam’s rich heritage was spotlighted, with its UNESCO-recognized sites like Ha Long Bay, the Imperial Citadel of Hue, and Hoi An’s Ancient Tow.
