Tuesday, November 12, 2024 Vietnam showcased its rich cultural heritage in a vibrant cultural exchange festival celebrating Asia’s diverse traditions at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on November 10. The “Asia+ Festival,” organized by Hong Kong’s Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) in collaboration with various consulates general and international cultural organizations, brought together representatives from 23 countries and regions, including ASEAN nations, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Bangladesh, and Japan. This dynamic event, held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, provided a platform for Asian nations to showcase their distinct cultural and artistic expressions, adding vibrant colors to Asia’s diverse cultural tapestry.

With over 32,000 local residents and visitors attending, the festival was a lively celebration of Asia’s rich traditions. The Vietnamese dance group, led by Do Tu Quynh, shared performances deeply rooted in Vietnamese culture, a tradition they have upheld at the festival for years. Their aim was to offer attendees an authentic glimpse into the heritage, history, and beliefs of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic communities.

The Consulate General of Vietnam in Hong Kong and Macau also participated by setting up a booth featuring authentic Vietnamese products like coffee and cashew nuts. Additionally, the booth displayed a collection of photo essays showcasing Vietnam’s culture, tourism, and cuisine, givi.
