An American resident of Indian origin, Sukhchain Singh, was shot at his home in Daburji village, Amritsar district, on Saturday morning. The attack was carried out by two armed men who fired at Singh from close range. The victim sustained critical injuries to his head and neck during the assault.

The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed at Singh's residence. The footage shows two men arriving on a motorcycle without masks, entering Singh's house in the morning while his children were playing inside. One of them is seen forcing Singh into a bedroom at gunpoint where they shot him as he resisted their attempts.
