Veterans have come together to lay the first crosses ahead of Remembrance Sunday. Former soldiers from across Worthing joined mayor Ibsha Choudhury to open the Field of Remembrance beside the town’s war memorial. The group laid the first crosses to remember those who died in the First and Second World Wars and other global conflicts ahead of Remembrance Sunday this weekend.

The day is marked nationwide on the anniversary of the end of the First World War at 11am on November 11, 1918.
