BBC Radio 2 presenter Vernon Kay was branded "lucky" by his fellow host Zoe Ball this morning, after revealing the way he wakes up with his wife Tess Daly in the morning. Before passing the baton onto her co-star for his mid-morning show , Zoe, 53, was curious to know if Vernon, 50, was a morning person and what sort of alarm he had to wake him up. "My alarm is set for seven, that's when we all get up," he shared of his family, which includes the couple's two daughters; Phoebe, 19, and Amber, 14.
Quizzed further on whether he was somebody who leaps out of bed, the presenter said he usually rolled out instead after "a dig" from his wife. Joking about his alarm, he spilled: "I have Strictly Come Dancing 's Tess Daly roll over and go, 'It's time to get up', with a dig of the elbow, 'Come on, get up'." In response, Zoe said: "Oh, you're a lucky man! Living the dream Vernon Kay, honestly.

Vernon said while he thinks contestant Pete Wicks is "sexy, sassy and strong" and enjoyed watching him, he believes the 36-year-old is also "vulnerable". "The way he's opening up and the interviews I've read and the way he walks over to Tess, is like a massive sigh of relief," he shared.
"He seems like such a nice fella." After Zoe praised the way the reality star was with his mum on the show last we.
