The last few years haven’t been exactly great in terms of films led by John Abraham , be it Satyameva Jayate 2 , Attack, Ek Villain Returns or Mumbai Saga, with Shah Rukh Khan led Pathaan being the only exception. His latest flick Vedaa , co-starring Sharvari and directed by Nikkhil Advani, has also been struggling since the second day of its release. The film released on August 15, to cash in on the long 5 day-weekend and opened to Rs 6.

3 crore but from there on, Vedaa has seen more lows and than highs. The daily collection has also dropped below Rs 1 crore for two days in a row now. The decline in the film's collection is not only because it clashed with Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2, but looks like the action film found few takers.

After collecting Rs 6.3 crore on Thursday, the film dropped to Rs 1.8 crore on Friday.

On Saturday, it witnessed a small spike and earned Rs 2.7 crore and the trend continued on Sunday, with a collection of Rs 3.2 crore.

On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on Monday, Vedaa collected only Rs 1.5 crore, and on Tuesday, which was technically its first week, the film collected just Rs 80 lakh. On Wednesday, Vedaa managed to earn only Rs 52 lakh, as per early estimates by Sacnilk, thus taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 16.

82 crore. John’s next release is going to be Tehran, where he will share screen space with Manushi Chhillar. He’s also most likely to be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Houseful 5 with Akshay Kumar , R.
