Teddy transitions to Vakkaru Maldives from Hyatt, where he served as General Manager for six years, overseeing operations at several Alila Hotels across Southeast Asia. Known for his ability to enhance guest satisfaction and deliver outstanding results, Teddy is poised to further solidify Vakkaru’s reputation as a premier luxury getaway.
A graduate of the Bali Tourism Institute with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Hotel Administration, Teddy launched his hospitality career in 2001 at the Ritz Carlton Bali. By 2003, he ventured beyond Indonesia, joining Shangri-La Hotels in the United Arab Emirates, where he spent six years refining his expertise in guest relations. Throughout his illustrious career, Teddy has managed some of the world’s most exclusive properties, including Parrot Cay and Sailrock Resort in Turks & Caicos, where he played a pivotal role in pre-opening preparations.
His global experience spans leadership roles in destinations such as Thailand and the Caribbean, consistently driving operational excellence and creating unforgettable guest experiences. In his new capacity at Vakkaru Maldives, Teddy will lead the resort’s operations, focusing on elevating its offerings and ensuring every guest enjoys the signature Maldiv.
