The 2024 UT Tyler Hall of Fame class will include former tennis, softball, soccer and track & field stars. The third Hall of Fame class includes: Beth Launius (women's tennis), Lindsey Peters (softball), Whitney Simmons (women's track and field), Chestley Strother (women's soccer) and the 2003 men's soccer team. "We our very excited to announce our 2024 Hall of Fame class," UT Tyler Interim Director of Athletics Chris Bizot said.

"These four individuals and this team laid the foundation for UT Tyler Athletics. We are so proud of their accomplishments and can't wait to honor them this fall." The group will be formally inducted on Hall of Fame Weekend that is scheduled for Oct.

Hall of Fame Weekend begins on Friday, Oct. 18 as the Patriots' volleyball team meets Eastern New Mexico at 6 p.m.

at the Louise Herrington Patriot Center. The induction ceremony and brunch is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the UT Tyler Alumni House. The ceremony is followed by the volleyball match vs.

West Texas A&M at 2 p.m. The match is followed by a soccer doubleheader at the Citizens 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex — Patriot women vs.

Oklahoma Christian at 3 p.m., and the Patriot men vs.
