A US judge has ruled that Netflix smash Baby Reindeer is 'NOT a true story'. Baby Reindeer is the brainchild of Scots comic Richard Gadd and fans were told 'This is a true story'. Struggling comic Donny, played by Gadd, gives Jessica Gunning’s Martha character a free cup of tea. But after the random act of kindness, he was tormented with a four year stalking hell.

And real-life Martha, Scots law graduate Harvey, is reportedly going through her own hell amid a bitter battle with Netflix . According to US news outlets, Judge Gary Klausner noted that the series opens with the line “This is a true story,” inviting the viewer to take what follows as fact. But he found that Martha’s behaviour on the show is significantly worse than what Harvey is accused of in real life.
