Travelling to the United States will become easier for Australians thanks to a huge change coming next year. Australia will join the US' Global Entry program from 2025, it was announced this week, which means a more streamlined and expedited clearance through immigration and customs. A photo is then taken to verify your identity and membership. Once the photo has been captured, the member will receive on-screen instructions and proceed to a Customs and Border officer who will confirm the process.

Program members will also be able to access to TSA pre-check at select airports. The Global Entry application process can take weeks, sometimes months, to complete in full. There is no minimum age requirement for Global Entry.
