The rollout of the updated vaccines comes as a COVID-19 wave that has been building for weeks continues to grow.
Since the beginning of the 2024-2025 respiratory season in late August, six Ottawa residents have died from COVID-19. Levels of COVID in Ottawa are higher than they were last year at this time.
