Prayagraj: In a ground-breaking initiative, schools of the state recognised by UP Board, are gearing up to introduce vocational education from class 6 onwards. The primary objective is to equip students with essential skills in various vocational courses by the time they reach class 12, thereby enabling them to embark on their own entrepreneurial ventures. This transformative change is being implemented under the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), with the most significant alterations occurring in the realm of vocational education.

The major goal is to ensure that every child acquires proficiency in a specific field. To facilitate this, students will be exposed to vocational education in three classes from 6th to 10th grade.The curriculum will cover a wide array of subjects, including cookery, confectionery, beekeeping, nursery management, food preservation, fruit preservation, and crop protection, all of which involve working with living organisms.
