Emma Corrin has access to some of the most sought-after luxury labels on the planet – think: generously buckled and super-sculpted Schiaparelli biker jackets, and a knicker drawer of Miu Miu pants – but when working with stylist Harry Lambert, the British actor also uses their camera-flashing step-and-repeat moments to spotlight trailblazing talents. “It comes from the place of not wanting to do something too traditional,” Norwich-born Lambert told British in March 2023 of his boundary-pushing, smile-inducing approach to the red carpet. For Corrin’s part, pieces like the JW Anderson dress resembling a goldfish swimming in a plastic bag led them to surmise: “I’m always amazed at the scope of Harry’s style radar – like working with young designers, who have barely graduated from Central Saint Martins and not just major fashion houses.
I think some of the most original work is coming from those places.” Case in point: alongside designs by burgeoning London brands 16Arlington and (including a sent-from-heaven feathered pannier dress dipped in silicone), Corrin has thrown two recent Central Saint Martins graduates into the mix of their press tour wardrobe. They also both featured in the British e graduate portfolio that Lambert styled for the June issue.
