Unlimited Cancer Care International (UCCI), a U.S.-based non-profit organization related to cancer, recently intensified its fight against cancer with a significant screening event in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

Over 300 participants were screened for various forms of cancer during the initiative, which was organized in partnership with LYB Legacy Limited, The Manyeyo Foundation, and the M&B Foundation. The screening event, supported by the McDan Group, took place in Akplabanya, an Ada community. UCCI President Agivert Jackson emphasized the organization’s commitment to cancer prevention through education, sensitization, and screenings.

“Cancer is not something anyone should endure,” Jackson said. “It is crucial that everyone engages in this campaign to eradicate all forms of cancer.” Jackson highlighted UCCI’s dedication to preventative measures rather than just treatment.

She stressed the importance of early detection and self-checks, noting that UCCI and its partners are committed to going the extra mile in their fight against cancer. “We believe that with focus, determination, and devotion, we can tackle the spread of cancer,” Jackson added. In addition to the screening event, UCCI announced plans to donate medical supplies to oncology departments in select hospitals across Ghana.

The organization aims to provide core screening opportunities and further support in the fight against cancer. Dr. Zakiyyah Backman, Founder of the M&B Foundation, express.
