Christopher Nolan’s next film will release through Universal in 2026. Deadline reports that Nolan is reteaming with his Oppenheimer studio for his next film, which will arrive in the summer of 2026 with Matt Damon in talks to star. Plot details are, as usual with Nolan’s films, being kept under wraps.

The film is expected to shoot early next year. Universal has declined to comment. Oppenheimer was Nolan’s first film away from Warner Bros.

Pictures since 2000’s Memento and was a mash success, grossing $977 million worldwide. It won won seven Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director for Nolan, Best Actor for Cilian Murphy, and Best Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr. Damon previously starred in Nolan’s Interstellar and had a role in Oppenheimer as Gen.
