Reading and Leeds Festival fans could find themselves being hit by heavy rain. Met Office officials have warned that heavy rain is expected to swoop in across the weekend as music lovers flock to Richfield Avenue in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds . . headline the events. The headliners will be joined by the likes of Bradley Simpson, Only The Poets, Jason Allan, RAYE, The Prodigy and The K's across the weekend on both sites.

However, while previous years have seen scorching temperatures, this year it's looking quite different. Speaking to the Mirror , a spokesperson for the Met Office said: "From Thursday, it is likely to be a breezy day for both Reading and Leeds. Winds will start to ease for Leeds by the afternoon with brighter sunnier spells and will be the same for Reading but a bit later into the evening.

" However, they went on to add: "Overnight during the early hours of Friday, a deep low-pressure system will sweep across the UK, bringing more heavy rain and increasing strong winds. This will likely cause some local impacts across both festivals. Winds will ease in Reading as sunnier spells return by midday, but will be later across Leeds and it will remain breezy with showers into the evening.

" But while sunnier spells will return on Friday, it appears that Saturday will also bring a barrage of bad news for music lovers hoping to enjoy their fin.
