Sometimes there's no need to jump on a plane to somewhere exotic when the UK has secret hidden gems tucked away. This beautiful beach is nestled on the West Cornish coast in and located on one of the wildest stretches of Cornish coast between Pendeen and Morvah, meaning it isn't the easiest to get to but this is what makes Portheras Cove so special. The little-known spot is a hidden gem that even the Cornish locals don't want people to know about.

It's secluded with white sandy beaches , crystal clear turquoise waters and picturesque cliffs, it's somewhere every tourist would dream about stumbling upon. It is a 15-20 minute walk from the nearest car park - but it's definitely worth the trek and is the perfect chance to get away from busy crowds however due to it's secludedness it's best to be aware that the beach does not have any public facilities including toilets and bins. Fans of the secret spot have shared raving reviews about the idyllic beach, with many rating it an impressive 4.

5 star rating. One visitor penned: "The beach is secluded, peaceful, surrounded by cliff-rock, with beautiful clear waters, where you can often see seals. It’s perfect.

A perfect walkers/hikers stopover from the coastal path. We love it! (but shhhh, it’s a secret!)"
