Ride sharing app Uber is launching more special zones at airports to make finding your car much easier after getting off a plane in Australia . The airport pick up zones are now in place at airports including Sydney , Gold Coast, Hobart, Cairns and Darwin. They aim to reduce waiting times for cars, and ease congestion for both locals and tourists using the airport.

When 9Travel landed at Melbourne Airport recently, we found it easier to get an Uber thanks to an organised taxi-style queuing system. Rather than a car being assigned to you via the app and having to find it, we put through a request, then stood in the Uber line and got in the next one which came up as it was our turn.
