Wednesday, February 5, 2025 UAE and Pakistan expand flight services with new airlines, boosting connectivity, trade, and travel options between the two nations. Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have agreed to expand flight services between the two countries, aiming to enhance connectivity and strengthen their long-standing ties. This agreement is expected to improve travel options and facilitate greater interaction between businesses and individuals.

A senior diplomat emphasized that the move is a crucial step in boosting bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Pakistan is actively working to deepen its engagement with the UAE, a key partner in the Middle East, to strengthen economic and investment ties. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, confirmed that the agreement was finalized this week after discussions with UAE authorities.

The talks focused on introducing new low-cost airline options to increase affordability and accessibility for travelers between the two nations. At present, at least eight airlines operate flights on this route, including Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai, PIA, Fly Jinnah, Air Arabia, Serene Air, and Air Blue. The expansion of flight services is expected to further improve travel convenience for passengers.

This agreement comes ahead of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to the UAE in February for the World Government Summit. His visit is anticipated to create more opportunities for collaboration,.
