Pune: Two men ransacked a footwear shop in Rahatani and robbed its owner of Rs1,500 after a fallout over some issue a few days ago. The men also damaged the windscreens of two cars around 8.30pm on Wednesday.
The Wakad police have identified the duo and, on the basis of a complaint by the shopowner, filed a case against them under sections 110 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), 309 ( robbery ), 351 (criminal intimidation), and 352 (intentional insult to provoke a breach of the peace) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). “The duo also forcibly took three pairs of footwear,” an officer from Wakad police said.
