Pune: Three more people, included two pregnant women , tested positive for Zika infection in the district on Friday, taking its case count to 93 this year so far, including 75 from PMC limits and three from PCMC limits. Of the three new patients, two have been reported in the PMC limits, while one from PCMC areas. Among the two new patients in PMC limits, one is a pregnant woman (21) from BT Kawade Road.

“The patient is 32 weeks into pregnancy. The second case is that of a 52-year-old man from Kondhwa. Both the patients are in stable condition,” a civic health official said.

The third patient is also a pregnant woman (28) and a resident of Yamunanagar in Nigdi. She is asymptomatic. On Thursday evening, PMC also sent the relevant documents required to audit the death of four patients in the city who had tested for Zika infection.
