NEW DELHI: 2 fishermen died after their fishing boat capsized in the Arabian Sea near Sindhudurg, Maharashtra on Saturday. The incident occurred around 2 am off Nivati beach, according to local police. "There were a total of 14 fishermen on board the boat.

They had gone fishing when their boat capsized. While two fishermen drowned, 12 others managed to reach a safe place," the police stated. The deceased have been identified as Raghunath Dharmaji Yeraji, aged 49, and Anand Pundlik Paradkar, aged 52.

Both were residents of Vengurla taluka in Sindhudurg district. An accidental death report has been filed at Nivati police station and an investigation is currently underway..
