The popular chip company claims the new flavour, caviar, adds 'a touch of luxury' to its popular range. But customers were fuming: 'Leave Twisties alone!' one demanded after hearing the news.

The new Twisties are limited edition - and cannot be bought in-store. Instead Twisties will be giving away 30 packets a day from November 18 to December 2. They are part of an exclusive social giveaway the company claims will elevate snack time to a luxurious experience.

Twisties Brand Manager, Simon Odisho, said the exclusive flavour takes the brand to new heights. 'People might be asking why we would combine the humble Twistie with one of the most luxurious flavours in the world, and we say to the critics – everyone deserves a bit of luxury in their life,' he said. The team at Grocery Geek leaked the flavour last week - claiming the 'wizards at Twisties are either geniuses or they have completely gone crazy'.
