Listen to Story TV producer and screenwriter Mahesh Pandey was arrested by the Mumbai police on August 7 on charges of cheating and breach of trust. He allegedly cheated film producer Jatin Sethi of more than Rs 2.50 crore and also violated an agreement with his company.
After Sethi filed a complaint, the Amboli police produced Pandey before the court. He has been sent to judicial custody. A lookout notice has been issued against Pandey’s wife, who is also allegedly an associate in the case.
Sources close to Sethi say that Pandey allegedly violated an agreement between their companies and even failed to pay a liable sum of more than Rs 2.50 crore. He claimed that Pandey delayed payment citing various reasons and even created a fake email ID.
It is pertinent to note that Mahesh Pandey was previously accused of non-payment by various actors from his shows..
