Pune: A 22-year-old man was injured after being dragged for 300 meters by robbers who snatched his mobile phone on DP Road in Hadapsar at around 4.30pm on Friday. The victim, employed at a private company, sustained injuries to his legs in the incident.

The victim, who was admitted to a hospital, filed a complaint with the Hadapsar police late on Saturday evening. Assistant inspector Arjun Kudale of Hadapsar police said, "The victim kept a tight grip on his mobile phone with both hands, but the suspects, who grabbed his hands, kept dragging him. They dragged him for 300 meters before managing to snatch the phone.

" "We are studying the CCTV footage of DP Road to track down the suspects," Kudale said. "The suspects then sped away after seizing the mobile phone, which was worth Rs 15,000," he added. According to the police, the victim, who is single and resides in a housing society at Bhagirathinagar on DP Road, was standing on the road with his phone in hand, intending to get tea when the incident occurred.

The three suspects, riding triple-seat on a motorcycle, were heading towards Hadapsar Gadital from Bhagirathinagar. After the victim lost his grip on the phone, he fell onto the road. Stay updated with the latest news on Times of India .
