A young Aussie woman who at a popular brewery is being remembered as a "cherished daughter, sister and friend" who brought "so much love and light" into the lives of others. Savana Calvo, 27, died at the Young Henrys brewery in Enmore, in inner west, at 11.30pm on Wednesday, September 25.
advised they are not treating Calvo's death as suspicious. The venue was closed off to the public on Thursday as police initially established a crime scene. The 27-year-old's sudden passing has sent shockwaves around the local community, where she was well-known and loved by many.
In the wake of her sudden passing, friends, loved ones and even local small businesses have taken to social media to remember her. The Coopers Hotel, just metres from Young Henrys, said Newtown was "grieving the loss of a beloved member of its community" in a Facebook post. Newly administered graffiti near the brewery reads: "Savana, we love you".
Adam St John-Foti, a family friend of Calvo, established a fundraising page to help her family cover the funeral costs. He wrote that "she will be deeply missed by all who knew her". "Those who knew her best, knew that she was went through some trying time [sic] .
.. in recent times that led to her tragic passing," he wrote.
"As we come to terms with Savana’s passing, we are faced with the difficult task of arranging her final farewell. We want to give her the dignified and heartfelt send-off she deserves. She was a cherished daughter, sister and friend who brought so mu.
