Thursday, January 23, 2025 Trenitalia is relaunching its high-speed Milan-Paris service on April 1 after a two-year hiatus, expanding with new routes to Lyon and Marseille. Trenitalia is set to revive its high-speed rail service between Milan and Paris this April, following a nearly two-year suspension caused by a landslide in the Maurienne Valley. The Frecciarossa trains will be back on track starting April 1, with two daily departures from Paris at 7:30 AM and 3:20 PM, and two from Milan at 6:25 AM and 3:53 PM.
The journey will take around seven hours, with stops along the Milan-bound route in Lyon, Chambéry, Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, Modane, Oulx, and Turin. Tickets are now available through Trenitalia’s official booking platforms. Additionally, Trenitalia has revealed plans to introduce a new high-speed service connecting Paris and Marseille, commencing on June 15.
This route will feature four daily trips, departing from Paris Gare de Lyon and stopping at Lyon Saint-Exupéry, Avignon, and Aix-en-Provence before arriving at Marseille Saint-Charles. The journey will take approximately three hours and 20 minutes, with ticket sales starting in mid-March. These initiatives are part of Trenitalia’s expansion strategy in France, where it has already served over three million passengers since its launch in December 2021.
