A Traveller has said she and her fellow Travellers will keep moving onto new areas in Bolton until they are allowed back home. The Gypsy and Traveller site in Moses Gate was closed last month after the local authority applied to the courts for a closure order. Since then Travellers have set up at numerous spots in Bolton, including in Little Lever and Breightmet.

Others have left the town but some are determined to stay in the area , with a desire to keep children at their school a key motivation for them. Now a group of Travellers have set up camp at Suffolk Close Park, Little Lever. (Image: NQ) Sarah Joyce is among those who is staying there and she has nieces and nephews among the group.

She said: "This one is alright, we are not making a mess or anything if the kids leave rubbish we will pick it up. "We got here yesterday (Sunday.) We are just going from place to place, we want to get back to the Moses Gate.

I had been there all my life. "This will go on until we get the site back."
