Tuesday, August 27, 2024 A travel expert has put the viral Primark Trolley Cabin Bag to the test to see if it truly meets the cabin bag allowances of popular budget airlines. Chelsea Dickenson, also known as the Cheap Holiday Expert, purchased the £25 Primark Trolley Bag and used it during her week-long trip abroad. The bag, which has gained significant attention online, features a handle, separate straps, and two wheels, making it a popular choice for travelers.

Chelsea’s goal was to determine if the Primark bag fits within the free cabin baggage allowances of airlines like easyJet, Wizz Air, and Ryanair. The size requirements for these airlines are quite strict: easyJet allows a maximum size of 45 x 36 x 20 cm, Wizz Air permits up to 40 x 30 x 20 cm with a 10kg weight limit, and Ryanair allows 40 x 20 x 25 cm. At the airport, Chelsea tested the bag in the sizers provided by the airlines.

The bag fit comfortably in easyJet’s sizer, with “loads of extra space.” For Wizz Air, the bag was a close fit, requiring a slight push to meet the requirements. Ryanair’s sizer was the most challenging, as the bag fit but with a noticeable bulge.

Chelsea commented that while the bag passed the test, some airline staff might be more strict about how the bag fits. Documenting her experience in a video, Chelsea shared her insights and tips with her followers. She advised travelers to be cautious with bags that have wheels, especially with Ryanair, and recommended carrying the bag b.
