This roll out is another key milestone in Translink’s Future Ticketing System transforming public transport. Passengers can now choose contactless payments on all bus and train journeys across the network enhancing integration, convenience and payment flexibility. The roll out to Ulsterbus means passengers simply pay for their ticket by tapping their contactless credit/debit card, smartphone, or smart device on the reader and board the bus, removing the need to carry cash or pre-purchase a ticket prior to travel.
