PM Modi is currently in Poland and will be visiting Ukraine on August 23. He will be boarding Train Force One- a luxurious service used by the world leaders. Train Force One isn’t just a normal train but a 10 hour luxurious and comfortable journey through war-torn Ukraine with full security services.
As PM Modi embarks on his 20 hour long overnight journey to Kyiv, he will join the list of other world leaders who have earlier travelled via Train Force One. The name ‘Train Force One’ is coined by Ukraine’s railway company CEO Oleksandr Kamyshin. It represents the magnificent feat of “Iron diplomacy”- the practice of transporting world leaders from Poland through Ukraine via rail.
The service was offered since the start of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Lets talk about the interiors of this world-class service. For comfortable sleep & relaxation, Train Force One has thick wood-paneled cabins with a long table for meetings, a sofa to spread out and a TV too.
On his 20-hour visit to Ukraine, President Biden appreciated the excellent service of the train and even signed a thank-you note for the crew. The carriages of the train were built in 2014. It took the tourists to Crimea but was later subjected to transport VIP guests and powerful world leaders to a war-torn country.
