Pune: The influx of devotees during the Navaratra festival has prompted the city's traffic police to introduce several route changes from Oct 3-12, in a bid to ease congestion around key temples like Chatushringi Mandir, Bhavani Mata Mandir, and Tambdi Jogeshwari Mandir. These changes include instituting one-way traffic between Budhwar Peth Chowk and Appa Balwant Chowk, as well as restricting all vehicles except essential services on Mahatma Phule Road. The measures aim to prevent snarls in these high-traffic areas, where large crowds are expected.

With one-way traffic from Budhwar Peth Chowk to Appa Balwant Chowk, commuters can use the alternative route via Shivaji Road from the latter junction. Similarly, Mahatma Phule Road will be shut for non-essential service vehicles and also be a no-parking zone. Motorists can park on Pandit Nehru Road and other routes instead.

Motorists coming from the Sant Kabir Chowk side from Ramoshi Gate Chowk to Bhawani Mata Road will take a left from AD Camp Chowk to Bharat Cinema-Padmaji Chowkey. Motorists coming from Dhole Patil Chowk side opposite Ramoshi Gate Chowk will take Bhagwan Bahubali Chowk to Juna Motor Stand. The one-way traffic restriction on Jadhav Road between Manikdas Maharaj Chowk and Bhagwan Bahubali Chowk has been relaxed for the duration of the festival.

For PMPML buses going from Ramoshi Gate, service will continue from Seven Loves Chowk, then turn left to Golibar Maidan Chowk, and again left to Khanemaruthi Chowk to ensure.
