Drivers are facing long delays after traffic has come to a standstill on the Orwell Bridge. There are long queues forming in the eastbound carriageway of the A14 on Monday morning. The nature of the incident is not yet clear but Suffolk police has been approached for a comment.
According to the AA Traffic Map, there are severe delays in the area. Drivers are also being warned that lane closures will be in place on the Orwell Bridge this evening while National Highways carries out work. National Highways says that these closures will be in place to allow it to carry out drainage works and to jet and clean the gullies.
