Japanese car giant Toyota will make its debut in the Supercars Championship (formerly known as V8 Supercars) in 2026, with its Supra sports car joining the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro on the grid. In a bombshell announcement, Australia’s best-selling carmaker confirmed it would be the third manufacturer in the Supercars Championship in two seasons’ time, ending a six-year run of solely Ford vs Holden and latterly Chevrolet.
