In a video shared by , filmmaker Andrew Stanton shed some light on the movie's plot. “With ‘Toy Story 5,’ the toys’ jobs get exponentially harder when our toy crew goes head to head with what kids are obsessed with today: electronics,” he said in front of a large crowd at the D23 Expo event Aug. 9.
Laughter ensued as Stanton continued, saying, “None of you are holding up toys. You’re all holding up phones, let’s be real.” At the very least, we can expect to see three fan favorites once again.
