A travel influencer recently visited a historic city in Southern Italy, sharing the incredible views with her thousands of followers – and you may not have heard of the hidden gem A travel aficionado has revealed where you can find breathtaking views in a lesser-known Italian city. Globetrotter and TikTok influencer Aimee Bell (@aimeebelll) recently made her way to Matera in south east Italy. With a history dating back to early Roman times, the city was honoured as a European Capital of Culture in 2019.
From her balcony's coffee table, she captured a breath-taking panorama and shared with her 75,000 followers: "Just checked into my Airbnb and realised I have private views over the oldest city in Italy." Her video sweeps across the district beneath, showcasing ancient buildings bathed in the amber glow of sunrise. Speaking of her stay, Aimee continued: "The Airbnb is called Little House of Matilde in Matera," adding that it's one of the most enquired-about places she has stayed.
She then described how she got to the place where she stayed. She wrote: "We parked outside of the Sassi area where this Airbnb is! There's some free parking. Lugging your suitcase over the cobbled stones is an experience.
" Aimee's captivating footage has drawn praise from many TikTok users, with one commenting: "I lived in a private Airbnb on highest part of the city and could see literally everything. My heart belongs to Matera." Another, who had also visited the city, added: "Matera surprised me.
