Wednesday, September 25, 2024 Tourism Ireland recently showcased the island of Ireland to approximately 40 leading tour operators and travel agents from Belgium and the Netherlands during its 2024 trade workshops, held in Brussels and Amersfoort this week. Representatives from 23 tourism businesses across the island of Ireland attended the events, engaging with Belgian and Dutch travel professionals. The two workshops facilitated around 450 commercial meetings, offering a prime opportunity for Tourism Ireland and its partners to highlight the island’s stunning landscapes, exceptional culinary scene, renowned visitor attractions, and a wide array of outdoor adventures. Karen van der Horst, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Northern Europe, said: “We’re delighted that 40 key Belgian and Dutch travel professionals have taken the time to come and meet with our partners from the island of Ireland in Brussels and Amersfoort this week, to find out more about our superb tourism offering. “Our annual B2B workshops provide a really valuable opportunity for our partners from Ireland to showcase their product.

The operators are signing contracts now for 2025 and beyond, so this is a key time to influence the addition of new tourism products to their programmes. Our aim is to conn.
