The ABC News Breakfast host has been nominated for the coveted award, which is for the Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, and realises he would be the first Aboriginal person to win if he swing enough votes. 'Viewers should vote for me because they would then be a positive part of history if that campaign is successful, because no Aboriginal person's ever won this award before,' the 34-year-old told TV Tonight this week.

'I think it's a bit late for pats on the back around this, but it'd be cool to be the first' he added. The television personality added that he feels 'humbled' by the prestigious nod.
