The Black Eyed Peas frontman is involved in the AI industry as an entrepreneur, and even recently launched his own AI app. He couldn't resist using the technology to prank the legendary Welsh crooner, who was convinced an artificial rendition of him singing was the real deal.
The 84-year-old veteran performer believed immediately that it was his voice that could be heard at a historic concert - but actually Will.i.am had used voice cloning to play the ultimate prank.
"He was like, 'When did I record that song? That sounds like something I would've done. I thought that was something I did!'" he recalled. Tom had first started singing professionally way back in the 1960s when some homes didn't yet own televisions, which Will.
