Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s Los Angeles home was reportedly burglarized. The thieves broke glass in broad daylight to gain entry into a guesthouse on the couple’s property a few weeks ago, TMZ reported Monday. The incident triggered an alarm, according to law enforcement sources, but that did not stop the robbers from entering.

The burglary reportedly took place while the actors were out of town, but the thieves did not make it into the main house. It is unclear what, if anything, was stolen. The police sources said the “A Man Called Otto” co-stars did not appear to be targeted and were simply next in a string of robberies in the area.

So far, no one has been arrested, and the burglary remains under investigation. It is unclear which one of Hanks and Wilson’s properties was burglarized. However, the longtime couple’s main residence is their Pacific Palisades mansion.

The “That Thing You Do!” stars, who wed in April 1988 and share two sons together, reportedly purchased the 14,000-square-foot property for $26 million in 2010. Hanks, 68, and Wilson, 67, have joined a long list of stars whose LA-area homes have been broken into recently. In April, Kyle Richards’ eldest daughter, Farrah Brittany Aldjufrie, had more than $1 million worth of luxury items stolen — including precious family heirlooms — from her Hollywood pad.

The thieves similarly gained access during broad daylight while “Buying Beverly Hills” star, 35, was not home. Burglars have also hit .
