An upcoming Timothée Chalamet film will mark the return of a Hollywood star who has been on a five-year hiatus. Gwyneth Paltrow will star opposite the Dune actor, 28, in writer Josh Safdie's upcoming film Marty Supreme, which is rumoured to be loosely inspired by the story of a professional ping-pong player, Marty Reisman. Reisman was dubbed a 'wizard of table tennis' and over his career won 22 major ping pong titles spanning 1946 to 2002 with a forehand shot that could reportedly reach speeds of 115 mph.
The picture – which is being co-written by Safdie and Ronald Bronstein – is being produced by A24 and will mark Paltrow's first appearance on the silver screen since 2019's Avengers Endgame, where she played Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) partner Pepper Potts.
